The National Transfusion Medicine Conference (NTMC) 2024 was held in Sabah, Malaysia, from September 13 to 15, 2024. The event drew a diverse array of professionals from the transfusion medicine field, including local and international experts, thereby promoting the exchange of knowledge and collaboration in this critical healthcare sector. NTMC 2024 was supported by prestigious organizations such as the International Society of Blood Transfusion (ISBT), the Government of Sabah, Sabah Tourism Board (STB) and the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Environment Sabah (KeKPAS).

The conference consisted of a one-day pre-NTMC workshop followed by two full-day NTMC sessions. With 15 international speakers and 13 local experts, the conference covered a wide range of topics in transfusion medicine. The high-caliber speakers came from Sweden, South Africa, Japan, Australia, Singapore, China, India and Canada, reflecting the global nature of this meeting. A total of 427 delegates registered for the event, including 113 from Sabah, 288 from other parts of Malaysia, and 26 international delegates. The conference was further enriched by the participation of exhibitors, with 4 platinum sponsors, 2 gold sponsors, 1 silver sponsor, and 9 bronze sponsors, showcasing the latest products and technologies in transfusion medicine.
